In the recent Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon main event that was held last July 2010, player Kenichi Takarabe successfully won over the other 296 players that came from different parts of the world.

Takarabe was lucky enough to have able to stack his chips steadily all throughout the tournament until he reaches the final table. The moment Kenichi Takarabe defeated Victor Chen and Chen Feng Li on the same hand; he was able to strike on a perfect timing and it eventually gives his stack a boost. Because of Chen and Li’s elimination, Takarabe was given the chance to have a showdown against the Theam PokerStars Asia, Bryan Huang.

At the star, the two players started head-up with almost even chips. However, Takarabe took the opportunity to wear down the chip stack of Bryan Huang through his constant dose of raises and re-raises, and during on a flop of 10S, 8D and 9S, the war begins between the two top poker players. Kenichi Takarabe then declared that he was all-in and Bryan Huang thought about Takarabe’s move and decided to make the call.

When the two players revealed their cards, Kenichi tabled AH and 9H representing a mid pair with a top kicker. Bryan Huang on the other hand tabled JC and 3S, and a chance to double up with enough outs available. However, Huang was unfortunate enough for it did not happen when the 8S showed up on the turn and 5H on the river, which lead to Kenichi’s win.
